An Invitation for Knowledge

Scleroderma is a hard disease. It’s hard for researchers to understand and for healthcare professionals to treat.  It’s hard on caregivers and families. It’s especially hard on the people living with the disease. As hard as it is, it can be made easier. Making it easier starts by becoming knowledgeable and a great place to do that is the National Scleroderma Conference.

Our goal for the 19th Bi-annual Scleroderma National Conference is to empower patients and caregivers with the knowledge it takes to allow them to take control of their health and well-being.

Although COVID-19 has changed our lives, we wanted to ensure that the scleroderma community continued to benefit from the wealth of information shared at the national conference. We are pleased to be able to offer the sessions in a virtual manner so that we are able to reach as many people within the community as possible. You will be able to absorb the newest information, learn from the experience of others, and gain insight from researchers, physicians and professional caregivers.  This is a great opportunity to be part of Canada’s supportive scleroderma community.

We are also excited to have our friends from the United States and around the world joining us virtually for this year's conference. The more information that we are able to share the better! I hope you will be part of the big plans we have for the 2020 National Scleroderma Conference.

Finally, our thanks to the Scleroderma Society of Ontario for hosting this year's conference and working tirelessly to ensure that it is a true success.

See you in October,

Jason Doucette
